Confused about what leases we collect?
The first evidence of oil and gas exploration intent comes from leases filed of public record in the county where the property is located. Drillinginfo sends representatives to almost 300 counties regularly to gather leasing information in addition to collecting all public lands activity. This allows Drillinginfo customers to have the most up-to-date and comprehensive access to critical land information.
Leasing Activity
Drillinginfo representatives visit court houses throughout our core states to monitor and record fee-based leasing activities. Additionally we report all the public land activities.
DI's Leasing Activity dataset allows:
- Exploration companies to keep track of the progress and direction of oil & gas plays
- Service and supply companies to find out about future business well before the drilling permits are issued
- Mineral owners to determine who is active in their area and what terms are being offered
- Owners who are being integrated or force pooled to perform quick analysis of the offers, as well as the drilling and production activity in the area
