TexasStandard + Leasing Drillinginfo Data Now Available![]() Leasing Activity - Historical lease coverage back to 2002. Fee Leases: Most fee lease counties are updated monthly. State Leases: State leases are collected only in counties where fee leases are gathered. Federal Leases: All counties are updated soon after Bureau of Land Management lease sales are finalized. - view coverage map. Pre-Permits - (early indication of intents to drill) (entered daily) Mid 2002 to present, hints of upcoming drilling that predate other sources from a variety of different regulatory sources and our field scouts. Mapped at center point of the abstract where the well is contemplated. Permits - (official intents to drill) (entered daily) Historical: Back to 1977. Official notification of intents to drill. Mapped at the proposed drill location (from legal and plat descriptions). Pending Permits - Submitted permits that are awaiting RRC approval are identified by a dummy API number in the Drillinginfo database. When the permit is approved the Pending Permit and dummy API number are replaced by the approved Permit and the actual API number. Rig Activity - (entered daily) Mid 2002 to present. Where are active rigs currently located and what have they done? Includes casing programs and pluggings. Completions - (entered daily) Historical: Back to 1900. Operator reports about wells completed as oil or gas producers. Includes depth, reservoir, pressures, IP's and much more. Pluggings - (entered daily) Historical: Back to 1977 Production - (entered monthly) Historical: Back to 1970. Well or lease level monthly production information. In addition to the standard production data (shown below) which begins in 1970, we also offer production data from 1938 until 1970 - via participation in the Texas Old Production Data Initiative. Surface Parcel Coverage Area - View Coverage Area Well Logs - Thousands of well scanned well logs from the Railroad Commission collection - available to all. Hundreds of thousands of scanned and depth registered well logs are also available via participation in the Texas Well Log Initiative. Well Events - When a well is spud, surface or production casing is set, this activity is triggered. Included are details about rig information, location, etc. Well Test Information - (entered monthly) Historical: Back to 1970. Well or lease level pressure and water tests. Seismic - The location of thousands of square miles of 3D seismic, and thousands of linear miles of 2D seismic, shown on maps with our other datasets - as well as the ability to easily contact the owners of the seismic for more information. Sales Volumes, Prices, and Purchasers - 2001 to present, well or lease level sales volumes and purchasers. Includes split streams, beginning and ending monthly tank inventory, and prices paid. Mineral Ownership Data - (8-12 months old) Ad valorem tax information on royalty owners for oil and gas wells. (not all counties, extra charge over quota) View Mineral Ownership Data Oil and Gas Play Information - (annual updates) What oil and gas plays underlie a particular well or object? Reservoir, geological, engineering and summary information for each play. Local Experts - Find geologists, engineers, geophysicists, or landmen with expertise in the area you are searching.
